Attention District 36 Clubs and Promoters LAO officers………<\/strong><\/p>\n

Our 1st annual D36 LAO camp out and trail ride will be held at the Ohl Olson Reserved Campground at the BLM\u2019s Chappie Shasta OHV Area near Redding, CA on the weekend of April 27\/28, 2019.\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n

The event\u2019s team building\/educational objective is to enhance communications and relationships between the District 36 LAO and club LAO officers (or club members who want to learn about the LAO position) and share our collective experiences in working with land agency leadership\/staff on issues related to casual OHV use, event permitting, collaboration, OHV grants, post wildfire recovery, partnerships, and post subpart B project level travel planning.<\/strong><\/p>\n

Chris Real, President of DPS Technical, will be offering the SAE J1287 96dBA \u201c20-inch\u201d Sound Test Certification Class to D36 club LAO officers and\/or club members who perform sound\/spark arrester technical inspection at events.\u00a0\u00a0 This class will be taught on April 27.\u00a0 Contact Chris Real directly to register for the class.\u00a0 Email Chris at – Chris.Real@dpstechnical.com<\/a><\/strong><\/p>\n

April 28 (Sun.) – Workshop Modules\/Dirt Bike Trail Rides (Leave for home or stay overnight if needed)<\/strong><\/p>\n

LOGISTICS\u00a0\"\"<\/u><\/strong><\/p>\n

The Ohl Olson Reserved Campground is located about 200 yards north and above the main Chappie Shasta OHV Staging Area.\u00a0 It has a hardened gravel camping area, vault toilets, and picnic tables.\u00a0 There is limited room for RVs and tents so RSVP early.<\/u>\u00a0 You must cross the Shasta Dam which is open from 6am to 10pm.\u00a0 There are guards at the dam that will inspect your vehicles for current registration.<\/strong><\/p>\n

Meals will be on your own, but we are working on an event BBQ for Saturday night.\u00a0 Stay tuned.<\/strong><\/p>\n

For those of you who are not camping, there are many hotels close by in the Greater Redding Area.<\/strong><\/p>\n
