turnout, and the stands packed with over 700 spectators in attendance. \u00a0The flat track race was a big attraction for fair goers in Quincy, CA. \u00a0The track was fast with a nice wide groove that set the stage for some great main event racing. \u00a0The first race was the Pee-Wee class\u2019s that combined classes 1,2, and 4 together with 125E James Weltzin wining the 50cc Pee-Wee Class 1 for the second week in a row, 156E Ryder Meiring winning the<img decoding=\"async\" loading=\"lazy\" class=\"wp-image-71513 alignright\" src=\"http:\/\/ama-d36.org\/archive\/d36\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/08\/quincy_3.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"338\" height=\"225\" srcset=\"https:\/\/ama-d36.org\/archive\/d36\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/08\/quincy_3.jpg 633w, https:\/\/ama-d36.org\/archive\/d36\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/08\/quincy_3-300x200.jpg 300w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 338px) 100vw, 338px\" \/> 50cc Pee-Wee Class 2, and 279Y Eloise Hedrick winning the 50cc Pee-Wee Class 4 (XR\/PW50s).<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 12pt;\">The 50cc Pee-Wee Class 3 (Fast 50s), always an exciting race to watch didn\u2019t disappoint with 156E Ryder Meiring claiming the win over hard charger 125E James Weltzin.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 12pt;\">The framer shootout class was led by 28W Kage Tadman for about \u00be of the race when it looked like the bike sputtered a bit during the final laps. \u00a0301G Brandon Weller was able to take the lead with only a few laps to go. \u00a0Austin Scaggs would round out the top 3 on his Ron Wood Honda 450. \u00a0It\u2019s great to see the traditional framer motorcycles competing again.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" loading=\"lazy\" class=\" wp-image-71521 alignleft\" src=\"http:\/\/ama-d36.org\/archive\/d36\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/08\/quincy_6.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"306\" height=\"223\" srcset=\"https:\/\/ama-d36.org\/archive\/d36\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/08\/quincy_6.jpg 580w, https:\/\/ama-d36.org\/archive\/d36\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/08\/quincy_6-300x218.jpg 300w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 306px) 100vw, 306px\" \/><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 12pt;\"><strong style=\"font-size: 12pt;\">With lap times<\/strong><span style=\"font-size: 12pt;\"> overlapping some of the fastest laps on the track, the 85cc class was flowing at a blistering pace. 114D Oliver Cox starting from the back row took the lead coming off of turn 2 on lap 1 with 116V Jackson Brown and 142E Brody Davis in second and 3<\/span><sup>rd<\/sup><span style=\"font-size: 12pt;\">. \u00a0Brody took over the 2<\/span><sup>nd<\/sup><span style=\"font-size: 12pt;\"> place position on lap three entering turn one. \u00a0Cox the leader rode a mistake free race and gave little opportunity for Davis to make up any time. \u00a0The Open A class better keep an eye these kids as they will for sure be real contenders on the big bikes.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 12pt;\">One of the most exciting races of the night was the Open Singles class. \u00a0This class has some of the fastest up and coming riders in our sport and did not disappoint.\u00a0 17k Jett Katarzy, making his 450 debuts worked his way from 4<sup>th<\/sup> to first by turn three and got a little squirrelly off turn 4 on lap one. \u00a0Jett rained it in and rode a solid race while 132M Mason Smith and 108G Jeffry Wells battled for 2<sup>nd<\/sup> and 3<sup>rd<\/sup> with Smith taking the second place finish.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 12pt;\">Celebrating 26 years where it all started. <strong>The Running of the bulls<\/strong> had 32P Dan Cahoon lead from start to finish with a gap for most of the race. \u00a0However, on the last lap 25W Curtis Peebles and 519V Michael Inderbitzen closed about a 5 bike length gap and the result was a photo finish for the top three spots with Cahoon 1<sup>st<\/sup>, Peebles 2<sup>nd<\/sup>, and Inderbitzen 3<sup>rd<\/sup>. \u00a0That got a standing ovation from the crowd.<\/span><\/p>\n<table style=\"width: 100%; border-collapse: collapse; border-style: hidden;\" wire to wire. \u00a028W Kage Tadman worked his way through the pack and caught up to the back wheel of Inderbitzen. \u00a0301G Brandon Weller kept a fast pace to secure a 3<sup>rd<\/sup> place finish.
