MMX Hare Scrambles This Weekend!

THERE IS NO TRUTH TO THE RUMOR THAT MMX HS IS NOT RUNNING THIS WEEKEND

It’s been brought to our attention that someone was spreading a rumor at the Shasta GP race this past weekend that the Orville Dam was gong to be opened this weekend and flood the Yuba River.  NOT TRUE!!

After 2 reschedules Round 3 of the 2017 District 36 – SRT Championship Cross Country Series presented by Works Connection and Round 3 of the 2017 District 36 – Motion Pro Championship Youth Cross Country Series presented by Racer Decal is finally here!

MMX Racing has endured the trials and tribulations of the weather with a whole lot of rain that caused flooding of the race grounds but that’s past us now and we are told that the camping and racing conditions will be excellent for this rescheduled date.  Thank you Jerrad for “hangin’ in there”.  Lets get out and support MMX Racing this weekend!

Support the California OHV Program

 Vote Yes on AB 1077!

The California Off-Highway Motor Vehicle Recreation program is slated for renewal due to a sunset provision that was included in the previous program authorization. Unlike Senate Bill 249, which the AMA opposes because it would seriously change this important program, Assembly Bill 1077 simply seeks to build on its success and remove the unnecessary sunset provision.

AMA members and, indeed, all OHV recreationists must immediately contact their elected officials and remind them of the benefits the program provides to every citizen and visitor to California. It is important to remind them that the OHMVR Program uses no general fund monies and is in fact based on a user-pay, user-benefit model. Monies used to pay for the program include those taxes collected on fuel, State Vehicle Recreation Areas entrance fees and vehicle registrations (green and red stickers).

A.B. 1077 is a simply, clean bill that deserves the OHV community’s support.

It is incumbent on the California Legislature to deliver on the promises made during previous OHMVR Program re-authorizations that this and similar “user pay, user benefit” programs remain untouched. The OHV community has long paid their own way and will continue to do so as long as these monies are used for their intended purpose.

To show your support for A.B. 1077 enter your information in the fields below and clicking on the red “Submit” button.

Now more than ever, it is crucial that you and your riding friends become members of the AMA to help protect our riding freedoms. More members mean more clout against the opponents of motorcycling. That support will help fight for your rights – on the road, trail and racetrack and in the halls of government.

Dirt Track Racing in District 36 starts April 1st!

Round 1 of the 2017 District 36 Championship Dirt Track Series kicks of the racing season April 1st at Lodi Cycle Bowl.

There are Short Track and TT races totaling 18 rounds of racing in this years’ series to make for some great competition and excitement!  Racing will be at Lodi Cycle Bowl presented by both the Lodi Motorcycle Club and the Stockton Motorcycle Club.

AND…….We now have racing at Prairie City SVRA with a new promoter entering the field.  Big Time Speedway has joined the District 36 Dirt Track Racing Program with two short track “cushion track” races at Prairie City, one on April 29th and the second one June 17th, rounds 4 & 8 respectively of the 2017 District 36 Dirt Track Championship Series.

Check out our 2017 Dirt Track Calendar and come out to support the racers and series and watch some exciting racing.  Oh and don’t forget your motorcycle…..maybe you’re the fastest?

Dirt track competition is the oldest form of motorcycle racing with it’s roots beginning when the first two motorcycle riders got together and, just like now, they needed to see who was the fastest!

Polka Dots Announce New Date For The 49er Family Enduro

The 49er Youth/Family Enduro, originally scheduled to run May 21st, will now be run on Saturday May 6th.  The change was precipitated due to most Polka Dot’s club members committed to help/work at the Hangtown Motocross Classic from May 18th to May 20th (cleanup on May 21st).  This is a yearly tradition for the club and they feel that they wouldn’t have enough members and/or outside volunteers to successfully run the 49er Family Enduro on the same weekend as Hangtown.

The Dot’s are continuing their tradition of offering a “Mothers Day Special”…Each Mother gets a discounted entry of $25 when entering with another full paid entry.  AND…Peewee’s will get a FREE entry when entering with another full paid entry.
