A Weekend Of Enduros!

North Bay Motorcycle Club, host of the 2017 Sawmill Enduro, Round 1 of the 2017 District 36SRT Championship Enduro Series and the 2017 Crosscut Youth / Family Enduro, Round 2 of the 2017 District 36SRT Championship Youth/Family Enduro Series has posted the flyers for both of these meets.

2017 District 36 rules apply.

The Sawmill Enduro will run a “qualifer format”.
The Crosscut Family Enduro is running a Timekeeping format.

Wild Piglet Flyer Posted!

Wild Piglet Family Enduro, Round 1 of the 2017 District 36-SRT Championship
Youth/Family Enduro Series.

The Timekeepers Motorcycle Club, host of the 2017 Wild Piglet Youth/Family Enduro, have posted the flyer for their meet.  This meet kicks off the Youth/Family Enduro Championship Series.  There are five meets on the calendar for 2017 and all the Enduros count for points.  There will be no throwaways.

This is a Timekeeping Format Enduro.  There will be same day results and trophies will be awarded at the conclusion of the Enduro.  Be sure to check the posted results before you leave.  Once the results become official, 30 minutes after posting, corrections at a later time are unlikely so get any changes corrected, such as name misspellings, wrong class, sponsors, etc., before scoring is closed (prior to trophy presentations).

Don’t forget to bring your current AMA and District 36 Membership cards.  If you need to renew or purchase either or both they will be available at sign-ups.  One day cards will also available at the meet only.  You may join or renew your District 36 membership HERE  and/or join or renew your AMA Membership HERE.   NOTE:  if the Enduro or next event you plan on attending is less than 21 days away don’t join online…give yourself extra time at sign-ups and join or renew at the meet.

Honey Lake Hare Scrambles Replaces Blue Mountain This April!

Cross Country Promotions, host of the 2017 Blue Mountain Hare scrambles (spring and fall) has announced that the spring meet, set for April 22nd & 23rd, is moving to Honey Lake MX in Milford CA, and will be renamed “Honey Lake Hare Scrambles”.

The Honey Lake Hare Scrambles will be Round 8 of the District 36 – SRT Cross Country Championship Series Presented by Works Connection and Round 8 of the District 36 – Motion Pro Youth Cross Country Championship Series presented by Racer Decal.  CCP has also advised us that this race will be part of the WHS Championship Series.

The Fall Blue Mountain Hare Scrambles, scheduled for November 11th and 12th, remains unchanged and will still run in Wilseyville.

At last nights 2016 District 36 Awards Banquet, attended by over 600 racers, families, friends and District 36 sponsors, the awards for the District 36 Dirt Track, Enduro and Cross Country Championship Series were presented to the best in District 36.

Congratulations To All The award Winners For A Well Run Year!

In anticipation, all waited for the drawing to see who would take home the custom KTM 250XC Electric start.  The KTM winning ticket was drawn first but held before the winner was announced until after all the other LAO Rafael prizes were awarded .  So…….

Congratulation to Taylor Ward, District 36 member 149K

Although somewhat stunned by this he did comment that he has been saying all year that he needed to win this bike.  Well, it seems to have come at a perfect time for Taylor as he recently advanced to the B Class….a great way to start the 2017 race Season!
Taylor has purchased raffle tickets several times this last year and his support of the LAO Program really paid off for him!

Several trail closures in effect on Grindstone Ranger District

WILLOWS, Calif; January 4, 2017 – For Immediate Release – Mendocino National Forest  District officials have implemented several off-highway vehicle (OHV) trail closures on the Grindstone Ranger District until the trails can be repaired. The trails are located south of the Summit Springs Trailhead and south of Letts Lake.

Trails included in the order are: 85311, 85312, 85345, 85354 and 85356. Officials deemed this closure necessary for resource protection until treads and drainage structures are repaired to withstand additional OHV traffic. The closure may remain in effect untilJanuary 2, 2018.

Youth CC Racers Ranked Numbers Announced!

 

ATTENTION YOUTH RACERS

Congratulations to the following youth racers who have been ranked for 2017.  You may race all of 2017 with your ranked number Or if you choose to, your District 36 number, just NOT both.

Due to the short notice for the PCGP you may race your ranked number however you will need to:

  • Tape your ranked numbers on ALL of your plates, FRONT & BOTH SIDES (NO exceptions).
  • Get new helmet stickers (for both sides).
  • Have your transponder updated for the 1st race with the number you will run for the year (must match number plates).
  • When you get new graphics be sure to order in the correct plate and number color combination.

The tickets for the 2016 District 36 Awards Banquet coming up this weekend

have sold out.  There will be no tickets available at the door.
