District 36 and the COVID-19 Virus
From the desk of the District 36 Sanctioning Stewards office (well my kitchen table). As you have seen events are postponing due to the Covid-19 virus. Most all of the spring District 36 events have. Keep an eye on the website schedules for any changes or updates.
It is looking like the Fall schedules will be a bit packed with lots of back to back weekends due to all the reschedules. I look forward to all the back to back weekends with my D 36 Enduro family.
I recommend that all members be good citizens and follow all the Covid-19 guidelines set forth by County, State and Federal agencies. I trust that all Clubs and promoters will make the proper decisions in regards to operating their events. With different agencies having different estimated dates of when it might ease up it is unknown how many more events may postpone or when we can hold events again.
All these guidelines are for your protection and the protection of all your family, friends and neighbors. For me it is time to hunker down and practice good decontamination protocols (Yes I am retired military). Plus I am getting a lot of at home projects completed.
Please be patient and safe. Plus make decisions that will not add to the problem.

Lodi Cycle Bowl Postpones All Public Activities Through April!
To All,
The Lodi Motorcycle Club decided to postpone all public activities at the Lodi Cycle Bowl through Apr 30. This is due to the recommendations of the State of California, AMA, U.S. government, our membership, concerning the present health situation in the United States and California,
We will evaluate reopening and rescheduling race dates towards the end of April.
The Lodi M.C. wish all our fans, riders to remain safe and healthy.
Thank you for your continued support. Lets hope this clears up soon so we can go back to what we love to do.

Fools Gold Postponed!
CERA regrets to announce that our Fools Gold Enduro, originally scheduled for Sunday May 3rd has been postponed until Sunday October 4, 2020.
Like all the other postponements we have seen, this was a causality of the CORVID 19 virus that has and will continue to be an unwanted part of our immediate future. It was precipitated with the US Forest Service stopping all recreational event gatherings of more than 10 people for this spring.
We still have our Crazy Miner on the schedule for Saturday October 3rd but we ask you check back in early September as we are still in discussions on whether or not we will run this meet.
While we don’t like postponing we do feel it best for our members and their family’s as well as our volunteers and friends that join us to help put our Enduros on, and the riders and their family’s that come to run our Enduros.
We look forward to the fall and seeing you at our Fools Gold and having our lives back on track!

- Pass a sound test not to exceed 96 dba (decibels)

**Note on Membership Cards. If you need to renew or purchase either or both they will be available at sign-ups. One day cards will also available at the meet only. You may join or renew your District 36 membership HERE and/or join or renew your AMA Membership HERE (be sure to print out your receipt as proof of membership and keep with you until you receive your membership card(s)). NOTE: if the race is less than 21 days away don’t join through mail in…give yourself extra time at sign-ups and join or renew at the meet.

Hangtown Cancelled For 2020

52nd Annual Hangtown Motocross Classic, scheduled for
May 16, 2020, has been cancelled
Through torrent rains, dense fog and blazing sun, the Hangtown Motocross Classic has been a mainstay of the outdoor motocross world for more than 50 years. Riders and fans have recognized that very little can disrupt the sport of motocross racing.
Unfortunately, with the outbreak of the coronavirus and continual spread of the disease throughout the country, the Dirt Diggers North Motorcycle Club, host of the Hangtown Motocross Classic, decided yesterday evening, March 17th, to cancel this year’s race.
In light of the action by the governing bodies of the other major sporting entities in the United States, and with guidance by both state and federal health officials, the Hangtown Motocross Classic has been officially cancelled for the 2020 year.
“With an abundance of caution for our thousands of fans and riders, and for the health and well-being of the members of the motocross industry who attend our race each year, cancelling Hangtown 2020 was our best course of action in light of our current situation”, said Bob Messer, Director of the Hangtown Motocross Classic.
Messer added, “To our thousands of loyal fans who have already purchased tickets to this year’s race, you will of course, receive a full refund”.
In these difficult times, cancelling this year’s race was a very tough discussion, but know that the Club will do whatever is possible to make the 2021 Hangtown Motocross Classic, the best ever.

Redding Dirt Riders Announces Postponement of the Shasta Dam GP

A Mojo Motosport Championship
Cross Country Series.
Due to the national health emergency the Shasta Dam Grand Prix scheduled for March 28/29, 2020 is POSTPONED. This decision was made after lengthy discussions with the D36 president and the RDR board. We will be re-scheduling the 2020 event to a weekend in the Fall. Once a date is available, it will be posted on the Redding Dirt Riders website and the District 36 Cross Country Meet schedule.
Online registration will remain closed until we secure a new date.
For those that pre-entered you need do nothing as your entry will be valid for the rescheduled meet. Or you can request a refund by contacting the Redding Dirt Riders at info@reddingdirtriders.com or at PO Box 493067, Redding, CA 96049-3067.
We look forward to seeing everyone at the rescheduled meet.

- Correct number plate and number-letter colors for your class on front and side plates
- Correct numbers and letter sizes required (see D36 Operations Manual Section 3.2.2 for youth and section 6.14 thru 6.17.2 for adults)
- Riding numbers on both sides of Helmet below the helmet strap.
