49er and 49er Family Enduros Rescheduled!

The 49er Enduros,  full and family, has been RESCHEDULED and will run Sunday October 28th!   With losing so many Enduros this fall to the fires, this one is a must ride event!  It’s Round 4 of the District 36 Championship Enduro Series and Round 3 of the District 36 Championship Youth/Family Enduro Series so let’s get out there and support the club that just keeps working so hard to get these long time favorites running!  

 

The Route Sheet and preregister Row Assignments are now posted.

Stuff To Know……….

You MUST have:

  • Current AMA Membership Card**
  • Current District 36 Membership Card**
  • USFS approved spark arrestor
  • Pass a sound test not to exceed 96 dba (decibels)
  • Current OHV sticker or licence plate (attached to bike)
  • Have a clean motorcycle (inspected to stop the spread of noxious weeds. — Forest Service requirement)

You will be assigned your riding number with a letter and it’s your responsibility to put it on your front number plate.  It should be at least 4″ high.
You will also be given a helmet sticker with your riding number that should be placed on the right (throttle) side of your helmet below the goggle strap.

AMA and District 36 Rules apply

**If you need to renew or purchase either or both they will be available at sign-ups.  One day cards will also available at the meet only.

Place:          Elkins Flat Staging area 
Key Time:    7:30 am  for the 49er  / 9:30 am for the 49er Family

Note: Both Enduros will be held in the same staging area where the 49 enduro is normally held, NOT where their family enduro has been held in the past.

Coyote Creek Sprint Enduro This Weekend!

The Timekeepers Motorcycle Club, is hosting the Coyote Creek Sprint Enduro, Round 5 of the D36- Mojo Motosports Championship Enduro Series, this weekend at Metcalf Motorcycle County Park in San Jose this weekend.

Donner HS Coming in Two Weeks!

The 2018 Donner Hare Scrambles, Hosted by Garrahan Off-Road Training, Round 8 of the West Kenda –  SRT Championship Hare Scrambles Series  and Round 13 of the District 36 – Mojo Motosport Championship Cross Country Series presented by Honda, Kawasaki, KTM of Modesto, and Round 13 Of the District 36 – Motion Pro Youth Cross Country Championship Series presented by SpecBolt is coming October 20th and 21st ! 

One of the premiere events of the fall series  this is a “Don’t Miss” race!

49er & 49er Family Enduros Postponed .

An announcement received by the Polka Dots MC…..

It’s with great sadness and frustration that we got the final word from the Forest Service that due to our rain gauge being over 1/2″ within 48hrs our 49er Enduro and our 49er Family enduros are POSTPONED!

As a club this hurts, but we are more bummed for you the rider especially knowing how perfect it will be , this is frustrating on many levels but ultimately we are responsible for the permit we signed which states .25″ within a 48hr prior to event.. it’s at double that now and they have had over an inch in the last 24 hrs..

We hope everyone gets out and recreates iN YOUR NATIONAL FORESTS ( what’s not burned up) in these awesome conditions..it’s open to the public , just not to us as an event!!
We will look for a date in late Oct for a make up!

MMX Cross Country Racing This Weekend!

The MMX Fall Hare Scrambles hosted by MMX Racing, Round 12 of the 2018 District 36 Mojo Championship Cross Country Race Presented by Specbolt and Round 12 of the District 36 – Motion Pro Championship Youth Cross Country Race Presented by Modesto Honda
Kawasaki KTM is on for this coming weekend.

The racing program kicks off on Saturday at 8:30 AM with the Beginner Women, Diva, Diva Pro and Vintage Exhibition taking to the course (see flyer for details)..  

Sunday’s racing starts at 8:00 am with the C Sportsmen, B Women, C Women and B/C Vet Women  (see flyer for details).

Help Wanted

It’s open season! No you don’t have to wear your orange vest, it’s time for District 36 election of officers, committeemen, and helpers. All positions are up for grabs, we want the most enthusiastic capable folks to help us help racing and riding.  If you have some time, and maybe a special skill, or just willing to work for the good of our sport we can use the help.  Officers include President, Vice President, Secretary, Treasurer and Director of Competition.  Stewards include Cross Country Steward, Enduro Steward, Youth Enduro Steward, Dirt Track Steward and Dual Sport Steward.  Also needed are Committeemen that are discipline specific to assist stewards in each discipline or act as “At Large” and help where needed. Other positions include Membership Director, Website Manager, Newsletter Editor/Manager.

The District is always looking for talented folks to help us with social media expertise, website ideas, advertising, sponsor programs and the banquet just to name a few.

Interested?  If so please contact me and I’ll help all that I can.  These elections are held at the December meeting by the incoming 2019 Board of Directors.
Note: Most positions require applicant to be a current member of District 36.

Bigfoot Biltz Next Weekend!

Reminder……..

The Bigfoot Blitz Hare Scrambles hosted by a new (to District 36) Club, the Siskiyou County Off-Road Riders (S.C.O.R.R.) is running their Race at MT. Shasta Ski Park, a brand new venue for our racers!

The racing program will kick off on Saturday at 8:00 AM with AA / A / B / C  Quad Racing!  Youth motorcycle racing follows starting at 10:30 am.  On Sunday the adult racing starts at  9:00 am with the C class (see flyer for details).

$1000.00 Overall Purse plus 100% AA Pro Payback!  And this included the AA Quad races!

Racing Is On …. Rain – Shine or Snow.

This race pays advancement points only and is not part of the D36 2018 CC Championship Series
